Fixing Incorrect Scans in Session Management

What to do when a vehicle's plate is scanned incorrectly by the LPR

Written by Aben Ricks

When a plate is scanned incorrectly on-site, the customer's account won't be recognized, requiring on-site team assistance to allow the customer through the gate to complete their wash. This is where plate corrections become essential.

Creating a plate correction in Session Management logs this change and links the scan to the correct customer and vehicle. Additionally, the system saves this correction for future visits. If the same misread occurs again, the system will automatically apply the previous correction and allow the customer to wash.

Making plate corrections in the app will enhance the overall customer experience.

Note: if the plate was read correctly, but the wrong customer is displayed, please refer to this guide:

To make a plate correction, follow these steps.

  1. In Attendant Mode, under Session Management, select the session with the plate you need to correct.

  2. Click the edit button next to the Make, Model, and License plate of the vehicle.

  3. You can either use your device's camera to scan the plate again or edit the plate using the fields provided. Click Save once complete.

  4. If the system locates a license plate under a customer with an active account, the session should now show the customer's information. If this customer is an active member, the gate should raise and process the customer as intended.
