Wash Types and Creating them in the Portal

Wash types are essential for selling washes at your site. This guide walks you through creating and configuring wash types in the portal to ensure your customers have access to the right services at the right price.

To create a Wash Type in the portal, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Locations & Washes > Wash Types.

  2. Click New Washtype.

  3. Under the General Tab, we will be filling out the following.

    • Wash Type Name - The name for this wash type.

    • Ordinal - Sets the display order of wash types in the portal list.

    • Display Name - The customer-facing name shown for this wash type.

    • Total Price - The amount customers pay for this wash.

    • Cost - Tracks operational costs (soaps, supplies, etc.) for reporting purposes.

    • Member Discount - Discount amount applied to retail washes for members, subtracted from the invoice.

    • Non-Member Discount - Discount amount applied to retail washes for non-members, subtracted from the invoice.

    • Wash Type Category - Categorizes the type of wash being offered.

    • Service - Defines the service classification for this wash.

    • Cleaning Category - Specifies whether this wash is Interior, Exterior, or Both.

    • Audience - Determines if this wash type is available to Members, Non-members, or both.

    • Sales Channels - Controls where this wash type appears for purchase (app, kiosk, attendant mode).

  4. Under the Add Ons Tab, select if this wash type includes add-ons from the start, or any available add-ons for purchase.

  5. Under the Pricing Overrides tab, you can add any differing prices for specific Price Groups.

  6. Under the Wash to Plan Conversion tab, you can select any plans once you've completed the wash type creation.

  7. Under Images, you can add any images to display in the App, Kiosk, etc.

  8. Click Create Wash Type to complete the flow.
