The Different Configurations Available for Attendant Mode

The AMP platform offers extensive flexibility when configuring Attendant Mode to fit your operational needs. This guide walks through the available configuration options and explains what each setting controls, helping you optimize the attendant experience for your team and customers.


To view these configurations, navigate to App Configurations > Attendant Mode in the portal.

This article will cover the configurations on the main Attendant Mode tab:

Enable Attendant Mode will ensure that it is available for use in the app.


General

Allow Attendants to Login with PIN - Enables PIN-based login for Attendant Mode. Each attendant receives a 6-digit PIN for quick sign-in without needing their email or password.

Navigate to Attendant Mode on Login - When enabled, users with an Attendant role automatically land on the Attendant Mode screen upon login instead of the home page.

Guest User ID - The User ID that routes all Guest Checkout retail transactions. This account consolidates purchases made by customers without registered accounts.

Minutes Allowed to Use Saved Payment Methods - When left blank, saved payment methods remain available indefinitely for membership and retail sales through Attendant mode. Setting a time limit (in minutes) restricts how long attendants can access a customer's saved payment method. Once the time expires, attendants must collect new card information from the customer, as the saved payment method will be hidden from Attendant mode.

Minutes allowed to send wash code - When left blank, attendants can send wash codes for memberships indefinitely. Setting a time limit restricts how long attendants can issue wash codes instead of using RFID or LPR for redemption.

Show Need Assistance Button - Displays a help button in Attendant Mode that allows staff to request assistance through configured support channels, such as phone, email, or ticket submission.


Attendant Mode Home

This section controls which tiles are displayed on the Attendant Mode home page.


​Show Lookup User - Displays a search bar for finding customers by license plate, RFID, name, phone number, or email.

Show Scorecard - Enables the Scorecard tile for tracking washes, retail and membership purchases, and which attendant completed each sale.

Show Signup New Customer - Displays the button to initiate the new customer signup flow.

Show Training Wheels - Shows guided prompts that help attendants follow established protocols and scripts.

Show Attendant Mode Wizard - Displays the Wizard with quick-access buttons for common workflows such as migrating members and searching for customers.

Show Scan App Code Button - Enables the camera scanner for redeeming wash codes presented by customers in the app.

Allow Gift Card Sales - Displays the Gift Card Sale button for processing both physical and digital gift card purchases.

Permission Required To Use Jump To Location - Set a specific role level to control which users can switch between different site locations.

Maintenance Mode User Permissions - Set a specific role level to control access to Maintenance Mode, which allows device reboots and cash management for Cash Kings on-site.

New Customer Flow

These settings control the information collected and options available during the new customer signup process.

Add Vehicle on Signup Approach - Select how much vehicle information is required during customer signup.

Show Skip Add Vehicle Link on Signup - Allows customers to bypass vehicle information entry if needed.

Show Additional Plans After Migration - Displays other available plans linked to the customer's information after completing the first migration.

Collect Name on Signup - Requires customers to provide their name during account creation.

Collect Zip Code on Signup - Requires customers to enter their zip code during account creation.

Show Add Vehicle and Plan on Account Actions - Displays the option to add vehicle and plan information during new customer signup.

Attendant Promo Code Application Methodology - Controls when promotional codes are automatically applied to subscriptions in Attendant Mode.


Wash Flow

These settings control the available options and automation after a wash code is generated.

Auto Select Wash Service After Plan Sign Up - Automatically generates a wash code for newly purchased plans, allowing immediate redemption.

Show Send Wash Code Button - Displays the button that sends the wash code directly to the customer's phone number.

Auto Print Ticket - Automatically prints the physical ticket to attach to the vehicle for manual washes.

Allow Printed Receipts - Enables attendants to print receipts to any AirPrint-compatible printer.

Auto Send Wash Code - Automatically sends the generated wash code to the customer's phone number without requiring manual action.

Barcode SMS Position - Controls whether the barcode image appears at the top or bottom of the SMS message sent to customers.
