Changing App Menu Options

The app's menu icons include configuration settings that allow for customization specific to your application.

Your mobile app has 2 menus:

  1. The main menu at the bottom of the screen at all times.

  2. The More menu which can be accessed by clicking on the triple-dot menu button.

To edit your app's menu options, follow these steps:

  1. In the portal, click on App Configurations, then click on Menu Options.

  2. Click on either Main Menu or More Menu at the top of your screen, depending on which menu you wish to edit:

  3. To add a new menu option:

    1. Click New Menu Option at the top right of your screen.

    2. Complete the menu option form:

      • Menu Option Name - Internal name only visible within the portal.

      • Display Title - Menu option name shown in the app.

      • Icon - Menu option icon.

      • Ordinal - Where the menu option is located in the app relative to the other menu options.

      • Main Menu Option - Check this if you want this menu option on the main menu; otherwise, it will be in the "more" menu.

      • Active - Check this to make the menu option active.

      • Use external link - Check this if you want the menu option to open an external URL; choose to have the external embedded in the app or opened in the phone's browser.

    3. Click Create Menu Option.

  4. To edit an existing menu option:

    1. If the menu option is not active, click "Show inactive"

    2. Click on the menu item name or on the edit icon.

    3. Edit the form.

    4. Click Update Menu Option.

      NOTE: It is recommended that unneeded menu options be marked inactive instead of deleting them.
