1. NEW FEATURE – Retail transactions made through Attendant Mode at Clarity sites can now be paid in cash.

To provide more flexibility in how your customers pay, we have built a cash drawer integration for our Clarity-integrated locations that allows you to accept cash payments in Attendant Mode. After setup and configuration, attendant and admin users will have the ability to accept cash payments as well as collect cash securely. Please reach out to the AMP team for specifics on the make and model of cash drawer that is compatible with the new integration.

Set up for Cash Payments. Configure the following in the Portal so a location can accept cash payments:

  • Accept Cash at the Location. Cash locations must be set up with an active AMP integration and the “Accept Cash” flag must be turned on. Both settings can be found in the location edit form.

  • Create a cash drawer. Cash Drawer setup is now available via the Portal > Hardware > Cash Drawer. Here you can see a list of all cash drawers across your locations and create/edit cash drawers. When creating a new cash drawer you will be prompted to enter the following:

      1. Active status

      2. Name of drawer

      3. Location – All cash locations configured per instructions in the previous step will show up in the dropdown

      4. IP and Port number

  • Link the cash drawer to a lane. The Lane edit/create form found via the Portal > Hardware > Lanes now includes an input to specify a cash drawer. A cash drawer must be linked to a lane.

Accepting cash via Attendant Mode. When "Accept Cash” is enabled for the desired location a new “Pay with Cash” option will be present in the “Confirm your purchase” screen in the Attendant Mode retail checkout flow. (Note: A credit card will still be required for any transactions involving a subscription with recurring payments; cash is not accepted for these transactions).

  • When Pay with Cash is selected, the Attendant will be presented with a modal that will show the Total Due and require them to input the Cash Received. Cash Received must exceed Total Due.

  • After the cash received has been entered the cash drawer linked to the lane will open automatically and the form will calculate the amount of change due to the customer. Once the cash transaction is complete and the popup has been dismissed, the Attendant user will continue with the checkout flow per usual.

Collecting cash via Maintenance Mode. The Maintenance Mode flow has been updated to facilitate
cash collection from cash drawers (and cash machines).

  • To access Maintenance Mode a user must hold one of the roles configured in the “Maintenance
Mode User Permissions” input in the kiosk configuration form.

  • After a user with maintenance credentials has accessed Maintenance Mode and selected a cash drawer (or cash machine) device they will see an option to collect cash.

  • After selecting the collect cash option, the user will be prompted to select whether they will remove all the cash, a partial amount, or none, and choose a reason for the removal of cash.

      1. Cash withdraw reasons can be configured in the Dynamic Dropdowns form found in the Portal > App Configurations > Dynamic Dropdown Values > Cash Withdraw Reasons.

  • When removing a partial amount of cash, the user will be prompted to enter the amount removed.

  • When selecting “Other” from the cash removal reasons dropdown the user will be prompted to enter the reason for cash removal via an optional text input.

2. NEW FEATURE – Custom Home screen, Wash Selection screen and Plan Selection screens can now be set up in the kiosk using image mapping.

Our new image mapping capability allows you to upload any image you’d like, map selected portions of the image, and turn them into “buttons” that can be linked to specific actions.

Image maps are set up at the kiosk group level. On navigation to the kiosk group create/edit form you
will see updated options for in the Home Screen, Wash Selection and Plan Selection tabs:

  • Home Screen Tab – At the top of the screen there is a new radio button toggle that allows you
to choose between Use Preset Buttons or Use Image Map. Selecting Use Preset Buttons will
allows standard home screen configuration. Selecting Use Image Map will open the new image
    map editor.

  • Wash/Plan Selection Tabs – Each tab includes a set of radio button inputs that allow you to choose between Use Wash Images (Default behavior; Wash Type or Plan images are pulled in for each option) or Use Image Map. Selecting Use Image Map opens the image map editor.

  • The Image Map Editor – After uploading an image to the image map editor, you will need to define one or more mapped areas. To begin creating a mapped area double click the image in the spot you’d like to drop your first anchor point. Each subsequent single click defines the next anchor point. You can define as many anchor points as you’d like to achieve the desired shape. Once you have closed a mapped area you will need to link an action to that area. Please note that the image map editor works best in Chrome.

codes! All that you know and love about Pay Per Wash fleets but now with the ability to restrict usage by vehicle and raise the gate when a license plate or RFID associated with a fleet vehicle approaches. These washes will now automatically be captured in the AMP system, added to the invoice, and charged at the end of the term. Our April release will expand upon this functionality and add support for Clarity sites and the charge immediately pay per wash billing method.

  • Legacy Prepaid plans can now be migrated to an AMP prepaid plan. Upon upload into the Portal, legacy member plans can now be designated as “Prepaid Plans.” This allows legacy prepaid plan memberships to be found when looking up a member in the Migrate membership flow in the mobile app and Attendant Mode. A user migrating a prepaid plan will see their auto cancel date and info text indicating that the plan they are migrating is prepaid. Users migrating prepaid plans will NOT be required to add a payment method at the time of migration as is required with standard recurring plans. Users will be able to extend their plan in the mobile app if desired up until the auto cancel date.

  • Updated the prepaid promotion web app the user interface. We’ve updated elements in the prepaid promotion checkout flow to allow for a smoother experience on mobile devices as well as traditional monitors.

  • Conveyer Mode for Controller. The Clarity tunnel controller can now be configured to work with conveyer-style tunnels.

      • Setup in Portal. New inputs have been added to the Tunnel Controller configuration form found in the Portal main menu > Hardware section. The following settings are available to configure conveyer mode:

        1. Use Photoeye

        2. Required Port

        3. Require Retraction Confirmation

      • Loading Station Updates. Retractions are now shown on the loading station screen underneath an abbreviated vehicle details section.

        1. When Photoeye technology is turned on the user will NOT be required to press a start button to begin the wash. It will be up to the user to make sure retractions are disabled as desired before the vehicle reaches the Photoeye sensor.

        2. When Photoeye is turned off the user will be required to press the start button to kick off the wash. This is where the Require Retraction Confirmation setting comes into play.

            1. When Require Retraction Confirmation is turned on the user will have the ability to set retractions on the main screen but will also be shown the retractions popup and will be required to confirm the retractions are set as desired on press of start to kick off the wash

            2. When Require Retraction Confirmation is turned off the user will set retractions on the main screen and will not be required to confirm the settings are correct when pressing start to kick off the wash.
