AMP Release Notes 7/18/2024

1. FEATURE UPDATE – Fleet Module Refresh

We have overhauled the fleet module to better align with the ways in which our customers onboard and work with their fleet customers. These adjustments bring the AMP fleet module a massive step forward in making fleet an even easier to manage revenue stream.

  • Introducing “Fleet Staging” – the fleet is no longer activated at creation. New steps to creating and
    activating a fleet are below:

    • A Car Wash Admin or CSR creates a fleet record with some base information about the
      negotiated fleet

    • Once the fleet is created, the user who was assigned the Fleet Admin role will have updated
      permissions that will allow them to access the Fleet Admin Portal

      • Reminder: If the Fleet Admin has not created an app account before, they will need to
        login to the app with the temporary password that you set for them and create a new
        password via the app prior to logging into the Fleet Portal

    • The Fleet Admin, Car Wash Admin/CSR will be able to add users, vehicles and payment methods,
      as needed prior to fleet activation

      • The Fleet Admin does not have permissions to update the following fields:

        • Signup Location

        • Fleet Admin Email

        • Account Approach

        • Product

        • Price

        • Recurring Bill Date

        • Payment Approach

        • Payment Due After (Days)

    • Once the Car Wash and Fleet Admin agree that the Fleet is ready to activate, the Fleet Admin
      can “Activate” the fleet

    • For Pay Per Vehicle and Pay Per User fleets, once the fleet is activated it will only charge one
      invoice (i.e. 10 vehicles will be 10 x price on the invoice, no longer 10 separate invoices)

  • Allowing for different Payment Approaches & Easier Payment Method Management

    • There is now a “Payment Approach” field that lets Car Wash Admins/CSRs determine how each
      individual fleet will be charged.

    • The options are:

      • Automatic Charge – in which the subscription payment method will be immediately
        charged on the renewal date, this requires a payment method on file in order to
        activate

      • Email Invoice - sends an invoice and payment link to the Fleet Admin via email. Payment
        Terms (how many days is the payment due after the invoice is sent) can be set and a
        payment method is not required.

  • Improved Payment Method Management

    • Allow for no payment method if Email Invoice payment approach is selected

    • Allow for bank account (ACH) payment methods to be added

    • Allow for Fleet Admin to add and manage multiple payment methods

  • Other Fleet Updates:

    • The ability for a Car Wash Admin/CSR to cancel the fleet within the portal

    • No longer require Year, Make, Model and Color of Vehicle (only License Plate State and Number
      are required)

2. Other Feature Improvements

  • Ability to add points as a spin to win prize

    • Spin to win games can now be configured to allow customers to win loyalty points as a prize
      option.

    • This works as with other prize options; in the portal users can configure a prize option of type
      "points" with an amount equal to the number of loyalty points the customer will win.

    • If won, these loyalty points will:

      • Appear in the mobile app as an increase in loyalty with "Spin to win" as the type

      • In the portal, the points history table, the points will appear in the Adjustment Category
        "Won".

      • Logged to the comment log for the user and prefixed by "Loyalty Points Added via Spin
        To Win Game", which will detail the number of points awarded, the name and id of the
        spinner game.

  • Ability to resend AMP POS wash codes from the user form

    • AMP POS wash codes can now be resent in the portal for wash activities listed within a user.

    • To resend a code, search for the user in question, navigate to the wash activity table for that
      user, and select the triple dot icon on the left-hand side of the wash activity item.

    • There will be a dropdown menu here with the option to Resend the wash code, which will open
      a modal where the user can enter a wash type, add-ons, code expiration date, reason (drop
      down is configurable), comment and phone number.

    • Also, with the addition of this feature there is now dynamic text used for the text message sent
      to the customer with the resent code.

      • This dynamic text uses the key "RESEND_WASH_CODE_TEXT_MESSAGE_BODY" and
        allows for use of variables WashType and CodeExpirationDate.

  • Added “Call API Endpoint” Action to Customer Journey

    • Added a “Call API Endpoint” that allows extreme extendibility and flexibility to the AMP Platform

    • An endpoint can be added to a customer journey and variables defined throughout the journey
      to pass to the endpoint

3. Other enhancements

  • Attendant Mode

    • On Migration pre-populate the Name and Phone Number based on information in the imported
      plans table

  • Location Details - added the following Location Service options:

    • Free Vacuum After Wash

    • Pay Vacuums

    • Free To Use Amenities

    • Air Detailers

  • Plan Sign Up

    • Ability to hide savings % on the plan term selection screen as desired

  • POS API Integration

    • Adjusted License Plate minimum character from 4 to 3 to allow Sonny’s integrated customers to
      sign up vanity plates

  • Customer Journeys

    • Added Remove Promo Code Action – this allows for greater flexibility in multi-month duration
      promotions (e.g. sign up with a 100% off pre-sale promo code which activates a customer
      journey, waits 1 month or until a certain day and then removes the old promo code and adds a
      new one – for example, a founder discount)

  • Portal

    • User Form Wash Activity Tab | Updated export to include vehicle information fields

    • In App Messages | Allow the image on an in app message to be updated for active messages

  • New External API Endpoints

    • /api-user/washes/checkout-remote-wash

    • /api-user/washes/purchase-remote-wash

    • /api-user/get-users-by-account

4. Bug Fixes

  • External API

    • Hardened the following endpoints:

        • api-user/gift-card/redeem

        • api-user/add-user-to-account

        • api-user/remove-user-from-account

        • api-user/create-vehicle-subscription

  • Attendant Mode | Fixed a bug where the app crashed when drilling down into a specific user’s wash
    detail record via the Attendant Mode Scorecard

  • Wash Codes | Fixed a bug where more than 1,500 wash codes could not be deleted at once

  • Tax Rates | Updated logic to remove tax rate rounding

  • Portal | SMS Automated Replies | Fixed a bug where the response count reflected “0” instead of the
    correct number of replies

  • Loyalty | No longer aware points to the Guest Checkout account for Guest account purchases

5. AMP POS Continued R&D
A lot of amazing work has gone into our Tunnel Controller Integration, Deep Vehicle Recognition Technology and upgrades to Attendant Mode.


Scroll down to see a sneak preview of the new Attendant Mode Session Management Screen and Rewash and specific customer assistance capabilities that are all available within the new AMP POS! With a focus on knowing your customer, capturing data to improve your operations and leveraging technology to reduce fraud – the AMP POS is going to be another industry game changer.

Session Management – allow your attendants to see all vehicles/customers on your lot with flags to quickly identify them as a first time visitor, repeat guest visitor, known retail customer, known member and even known legacy member ready for migration! Click into a vehicle’s tile to dive right into a streamlined Attendant Wizard session for that customer that is specific.

Rewash Functionality – Gone are the days of swiping a free wash card or entering a 100% off promo code. Rewashes can now (1) be tied to the original wash, (2) can only be eligible within a defined window of time from the original wash, (3) captures a rewash reason to allow for ongoing operational analysis and improvements by location and (4) validates that the vehicle that should be getting the rewash is the one receiving the rewash.
