Precise location settings are required to use the app. The app will most often fail to recognize location for one of two reasons:

  • Global location settings are turned off for the device.

  • App Specific location settings are not properly configured.

To troubleshoot location settings using the app, use the following steps:

  1. Open the app, and click on the More menu (triple-dot) in the bottom right corner.

  2. Click User Settings.

  3. Click on Manage App Permissions.

  4. Select Location Settings.

  5. This will take you to the app settings on the iPhone. From here, locations must be turned on for the app to work properly. Ensure that anything other than Never is selected for location access, and that Precise Location is enabled.

  3. On the following page, select Location Services at the top. On the next screen, please ensure that location settings are enabled as shown. This is the Global location setting for the device.

  4. On the same page, scroll down and select your app from the list.

  5. On your app's page, ensure that anything other than Never is selected for location access, and that Precise Location is enabled as shown. These are the app-specific location settings.

This should resolve any location settings issues. If your customer is still experiencing issues with location detection, please contact AMP support at [email protected].
